Steve Heads to Brands for the BSB Finale
Steve is heading south to Brands Hatch for the final round of the 2007 Bennetts British Superbike championship, which takes place at the Kent circuit on October 14.
Steve will be looking to bring his current campaign to a successful conclusion with two strong finishes in the set of two 30-lap races on the short Indy circuit on Sunday.
As the season has progressed so has the development of the AIM Yamaha R1 Superbike and this reflects in the results from the previous few races in which Plater scored a run of points finishes with two ninth places and a tenth from his last three races.
The weekend commences with two free practise sessions on Friday followed by a third on Saturday morning. Qualifying takes place on Saturday afternoon to establish the grid positions. Race one gets underway at noon and the season finale to determine the 2007 British Superbike champion is scheduled for a 2.50pm start.
Although this is the final round of the British Superbike championship, the season is not quite over for Steve who is to return to Macau in November to race in the annual Macau Grand Prix, which he won for AIM Yamaha in 2006.
