Sunny Skiathos

Even though we’ve had a five week break in the BSB calendar I’ve been busy testing, racing & travelling.

A trip to Poland with 30 mates to celebrate some birthdays was fun to say the least then a test at Bruntingthorpe on my return with Bike magazine before returning home for an official test at Cadwell.

From there straight off to Castle Combe to compete in there Grand National meeting for Honda Racing then heading up to Wolverhampton to get the motorhome serviced.

Silverstone was my next stop for another official test with just enough time to fit in a week in the Skiathos sunshine for some serious chilling out, basically doing nothing all week!

Didn’t quite go to plan, went with a good mate of mine that helps run the Rizla Suzuki hospitality at all BSB meetings.

He collected his nice big Yoshimura kit bag on arrival but my case was stuck on a hold on the plane that wouldn’t open. The pilot decided he didn’t want the hold forcing open making the plane immobilised so my baggage then went on European tour. Volos was its first stop on mainland Greece then over to Athens. From there back to East Midlands then on a little flight to Gatwick where it was allowed to rest for a couple of days before returning to East Midlands in time for a grand reunion with myself on my return home!

I basically had two pairs of shorts, two t-shirts & one pair of socks all week, main thing I missed was my little bathroom bag, borrowed most things from my mate Benny but was out of luck with the hair wax…. There’s more hair on Abi Titmuss’s chest than on Benny’s head bless him!

Spent all week doing nothing apart from sunbathing or swimming, making sure the tan was up to scratch for the return home!

Home to some mega weather, jumped on my road bike to do a little chat-show up at the North Yorkshire road-racing supporters club at Northallerton before returning home & getting back to reality….. Silverstone BSB!
