South Africa

Last winter I was fortunate enough to be invited to race in South Africa at Zwartkops near Pretoria and also Kilarney near Cape Town, I made the trip over with good friend Mick Grant!

At Zwartkops I rode a BMW Boxer in their 3hr endurance race that was prepared by Bavarian Motorcycles of Pretoria.

They were very pleased with my pace and more importantly we hit it off straight away as their a very friendly bunch, hence they’ve asked me to return and compete in the last round of their Boxer-Cup championship as VIP guest at Zwartkops this year on 3 rd December.

Mmm…. Picture the scene, mid-summer in South Africa…… of course I’ll be there!!

Last year a group of us borrowed some bikes and went on a little road-trip out near the Kruger Park before the racing started. This year Mick Grant is organising a bigger ride-out a week prior to racing all the way round to Durban…. Can’t wait!
