Ducati Trioptions Cup Round 4 - Snetterton

Snetterton 300 round-4 Ducati TriOpions, even though the guys haven’t raced for nine weeks, 40 riders lined up for free practice. Usual suspects at the front but one or two surprises and a few of the guys taking time to get on the pace with so much time off.

Some of the guys been to the official test Snetterton during the break and it showed during qualifying, Collier being on record pace once again but pushed by Guiver, only 8.5 points separating them in the championship all to play for with 0.1 between them for Race-1.

Guiver had a terrible start leaving himself a lot of work to do with Collier away like a scolded cat. Fair play getting his head down and pushing the whole race to follow winner Collier home in 2nd place just 2.2 seconds behind.

Boast Plumbing team having great day with there no.2 rider Levi Day taking 3rd place on the podium ahead of a revitalised Sean Neary.

Race-2 more drama again, Guiver had moaned of clutch judder causing his bad start in race-1 which I questioned. Clear to see off the line Guiver had same problem again but did not dent the ex 125 riders confidence. Pushing hard to get on the back wheel of leader Collier only for the red flag to appear.

Our fast female Leva Baublytes 899 engine had problems leaking oil onto the entry of turn-1, with no time on the schedule to clean and re-start the track before the circuits cut-off time the result was declared with Guiver unlucky once again.

Maximum points for Collier giving him 18.5 points over Guiver. Next though Guivers home race, Brands Hatch GP. Two rostrums also lifted the other Boast Plumbing rider Levi Day to 4th in the TriOptions Championship.
