Big thank you to Liam Beckett for organising with BBC Radio Ulster giving me the opportunity covering the UlsterGP races all day trackside.
Already on the North coast on holiday with the family I woke 05:30 for quick shower before the hour long drive for a 07:30 roll call over breakfast at the Ballymac hotel.
I may as well have gone outside for the shower, think I ended up wetter getting into my vehicle with the rain and wind. On arrival at the Ballymac hotel (mile from start/finish) the rain had stopped but UGP circuit still very wet.
The rain hadn’t stopped any enthusiasm, with fans queueing to get to their favourite spectating points and the forecast promising to improve.
Meeting up with Liam Beckett we munched breakfast and made our way to the track. Hospitality for cup of tea and quick chat with the VIP guests hosted by Pamela Ballentine before heading over the road into our comms box for the day with BBC presenter Michael McNamee.
Seven great races with some going down to the wire, even the 7-lap feature Superbike race had us on the edge of our seats as Dave Moore and Adrian Coates commentated on the action alongside Richard Pietre with us three in the comms box analysing all the action and interviewing various guests from the paddock.
You MUST watch the highlights from all seven races!
